Replace your bath with a shower enclosure

Many of our customers are deciding to replace their bath with a large shower enclosure. The most popular size is 120x80cm and we have this example in our showroom complete with an 8mm semi frameless hinged door with smoked green glass which looks rather stunning! We find that although there is the option of trays and doors as long as a standard bath i.e. 170cm, generally it is considered just too big and the extra space gained when the bath is removed is quite useful.

We also display a 100x80cm enclosure which is semi-frameless with a hinged door on the 100cm side. With this type of enclosure the layout could be reversed so that the long side is a fixed panel and the hinged door is on the 80cm side.

If there is sufficient space you may well consider installing a walk-in shower enclosure. Generally this type of enclosure will not have a door, just a fixed panel often with a small L-shaped return. This type of shower enclosure is perfect for larger spaces and with no moving parts cleaning is less difficult. Our showroom example measures 140x90cm which will give you adequate elbow room and a convenient drying area. There are larger and smaller walk-in enclosures but do be careful if you choose smaller then 140cm, as you may be disappointed with the shower area.
